Στο πλαίσιο της Δομής Δια Βίου Μάθησης του Α.Π.Θ. θα υλοποιηθεί Εκπαιδευτικό Πρόγραμμα Επιμόρφωσης με τίτλο «Γλώσσα Python & Υπολογιστική Σκέψη στο Μάθημα της Πληροφορικής», στο διάστημα Νοέμβριος – Δεκέμβριος 2015.

Σκοπός του Προγράμματος είναι η επιμόρφωση των εκπαιδευτικών Πληροφορικής: (α) στον εκπαιδευτικό προγραμματισμό με γλώσσα Python και τη βιβλιοθήκη Pygame, (β) στη διδακτική μέθοδο «Μάθηση με Παιχνίδια» (Game-based learning) για την ανάπτυξη της υπολογιστικής σκέψης των μαθητών.

Το Πρόγραμμα απευθύνεται σε: εκπαιδευτικούς Πληροφορικής που ενδιαφέρονται να μάθουν τη γλώσσα προγραμματισμού Python, τη βιβλιοθήκη Pygame και τη διδακτική μέθοδο «μάθηση με παιχνίδια». Οι εκπαιδευτικοί μπορεί να είναι (κατά προτεραιότητα) ενεργοί εκπαιδευτικοί Πληροφορικής (ΠΕ19 & ΠΕ20) ή άνεργοι (πτυχιούχοι Τμημάτων Πληροφορικής ή ισότιμων).

Το "Επιχειρηματικότητα και Καινοτομία" (Entrepreneurship and Innovation) είναι ένα εισαγωγικό εντατικό μάθημα, που προσφέρεται μέσω του διαδικτύου και απευθύνεται σε φοιτητές ή αποφοίτους Τμημάτων Πληροφορικής των ΑΕΙ (ή συναφών αντικειμένων), καθώς και σε επαγγελματίες του χώρου των Τεχνολογιών Πληροφορικής και Επικοινωνιών που επιθυμούν να μετατρέψουν καινοτόμες ιδέες σε επιχείρηση.

Το μάθημα προσφέρεται δωρεάν, ξεκινάει στις 18 Μαϊου του 2015 και διαρκεί 8 εβδομάδες.

Summer Undergraduate Research Internship
in Computer Science @ the University of California, Irvine

We welcome applications for a newly launched summer undergraduate research internship program at the UC Irvine Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences. Selected students will get an opportunity to visit UCI during the summer of 2014 and spend roughly 8-10 weeks working with faculty on exciting research projects. Projects are expected to cover a wide variety of topics including artificial intelligence, data management, embedded systems and architecture, machine learning, networking, systems and software, secure computing, and theoretical computer science.

We are pleased to announce the 1st Dem@Care Summer School on Ambient Assisted Living. The DemAAL summer school is primarily intended for postgraduate (PhD or MSc) students, postdocs and researchers investigating clinical and technical aspects related to Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) technologies for remote health management, ageing well and independent living. Leading researchers from academia and industry will cover theoretical and practical aspects pertinent to pervasive and ubiquitous computing technologies for Ambient Intelligence (AmI) applications, while special focus will be given on the role and opportunities of such technologies for dementia management.

Lecture material will be augmented with hands-on practical sessions. Participants will be provided with electronic versions of all programme lectures and all necessary tools and environments for the hands-on sessions. PC access with all tools pre-installed will be available on site as well. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to present their work and obtain feedback during a dedicated poster session intended to further facilitate interactions and the exchange of ideas.

Aims and Scope

SSVR '13 is addressed to anyone interested in the development and in-classroom implementation of advanced educational technology innovations. It is an excellent starting point for those seeking information and skills to make the necessary design, organizational and technical steps required for the construction and implementation of such applications.

In the context of these objectives, the summer school is built upon two pillars:

The first is theoretical. It consists of a general reflection on the modern educational trends and goals, the ways VR and 3D applications fit in the context of learning theories, how they contribute to the realization of didactical goals and how they compare to other ICT applications.

The second, being the largest part of our summer school, is practical and provides hands on experience. A full suite of software for the development of virtual environments is presented and analyzed. During this process, participants will form the self-perceived knowledge required to use this kind of practice. They will know how to use
specific software, they will confront its difficulties, and they will tackle problems they will encounter.

Θερινό σχολείο Τεχνητής Νοημοσύνης 2013 (HAISS 2013)
Το Θερινό Σχολείο Τεχνητής Νοημοσύνης (Hellenic Artificial Intelligence Summer School - ΗΑISS) ξεκίνησε από το καλοκαίρι του 2009 στη Θεσσαλονίκη, και συνεχίστηκε το καλοκαίρι του 2011 στην Πάτρα. Στόχος του HAISS είναι να παρουσιάσει τις σύγχρονες εξελίξεις στο χώρο της Τεχνητής Νοημοσύνης σε πεδία και σε βάθος που συνήθως οι φοιτητές δεν έχουν την ευκαιρία να γνωρίσουν κατά τη διάρκεια των προπτυχιακών και μεταπτυχιακών σπουδών τους. Το σχολείο απευθύνεται σε φοιτητές όλων των βαθμίδων (προπτυχιακούς, μεταπτυχιακούς, υποψήφιους διδάκτορες).
